The Baltimore Philharmonia Orchestra, Inc.

Founded in 1998, by musicians, for the Baltimore area community and for the love of classical music…

Our Mission:

The Baltimore Philharmonia Orchestra, Inc. is a not-for-profit intergenerational community orchestra of professional and accomplished musicians that provides an opportunity for performers of all ages to play symphonic repertoire and to educate and encourage the love of classical music by providing concerts to the community for little or no cost.

The Baltimore Philharmonia Orchestra, Inc., founded in 1998, was organized to provide classical music to the community at a low cost. It is an intergenerational orchestra, composed of accomplished musicians representing all age groups. Our musicians include, but are not limited to, performing artists, educators, and music students. Many of our members have played in major symphony orchestras and have had many years of solo and orchestral experience.

We thank local businesses and individuals who encourage the spirit of making music through their generous contributions and support. In order for our orchestra to provide free or low cost performances, funding is necessary to cover our operating expenses, which include purchasing music, renting halls, insurance and other expense reimbursements. Please consider making a grant or donation to help bring classical music alive in Baltimore. The Baltimore Philharmonia Orchestra, Inc. has been granted permanent tax-exempt status and is listed in the IRS 501(c)(3) category.

The goals of our orchestra are to:

The performing arts have been an integral part of society throughout the ages. Musicianship encourages teamwork, leadership, self-confidence and responsibility. By reaching out to the Baltimore community, we hope to encourage people of all ages to participate in an activity that is simultaneously exciting and educational. Music is an international language!

Thank you for allowing us to introduce ourselves.
